Advisory Board Members

Ms. LaLisa Anthony

LalisaLaLisa Anthony has joined the SIF Board of advisors. Her expierence is broad and includes a working relationship with the NFL, working with a Caribbean nation with the organization Bahamas American Football Federation (BAFF) by teaching and overseeing the playing American Football in the Bahamas. She is also involved in running youth and young adult football player, coaching and officiating clinics during a college bowl weeks activities in the only out of the United States played college bowl game The Popeye’s Bahamas Bowl televised on ESPN Christmas Eve. LaLisa is a native of Canton, Ohio and is in her sixth year as a Regional Director with the NFL’s High School/Junior Player Development Program managing program sites in seven NFL markets – Cleveland Browns, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, St. Louis Rams, and Tennessee Titans.

Her passion is to empower people, especially young people, to maintain control of their lives and to determine their destinies. One of her favorite teaching points is, “If you breathe this life, you should choose to live it.”

LaLisa’s current career began at the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. There she majored in Communication Sciences and minored in psychology and chemistry. She has worked in the non-profit sector with United Way as a Campaign Associate and the YMCA as a youth Program Director designing and implementing programs for middle school-age youth. She also served as the first and only woman president of the Canton Midget Football League, Inc. for five years. In May 2007, LaLisa graduated with her Master’s of Science in Social Administration with a concentration in Management/Community Development from the Mandel School of Applied Social Science, also at Case.In 2007, LaLisa completed seven years of service to the National Football Foundation’s positive youth development through sport program, Play It Smart. She is the only individual associated with program that has been in the role of parent, Academic Coach/Counselor, and Regional Coordinator supervising and developing Academic Coaches/Counselors in the Midwest, United States. During her four years as an Academic Coach/Counselor, she graduated 100 student-athletes with 88 continuing on to college and 65 of those played football. The list of student athletes under her tutelage includes: Donte Whitner (Buffalo Bills), Ted Ginn, Jr. (Miami Dolphins, traded to San Francisco 49ers) and Antonio Pittman (formerly, New Orleans Saints, traded to St. Louis Rams). She also mentored Troy Smith (Baltimore Ravens, traded to San Francisco 49ers) and Chris “Beanie” Wells (Arizona Cardinals).

LaLisa is also the Managing Consultant for the Building Lives Through Sport Network which offers initiatives and resources to developing nations to implement organized, competitive youth tackle and flag football programs. Current member nations in the Network are the Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago, and Turks and Caicos. Building Lives Through Sport Network also consults with domestic based organizations in providing consultation toward enhancing and supporting their initiatives and program extensions to service K-12 grade student-athletes.

LaLisa also acts as a liaison within the NFL’s partnership with the National Guard in her assigned region where she is assigned to the High School Development Program. On the international side LaLisa is involved with the Bahamas American Football Federation (BAFF) where she has the task of implementing a plan to better the Bahamian Youth Football Program and encourage more children to give the sport a try.

 

Jack Pennington (Advisor)

Jack has a long history in sports in the television/radio industry in collegiate sports as a contractual sports attorney and a television production and programmer. He specializes in setting up college conference television contracts as well as minor league professional sports for major and regional television networks and streaming outlets. In the past this individual has owned all or part of 60 different radio stations across the country. In addition he has in house television production and video streaming capabilities that continue to break new ground in the connected television space.  He has one of the few distribution platforms which can dynamically trigger a commercial break within live events, the company has also developed and launched one of the most comprehensive and appealing apps available for television viewers and will be the first to offer a wide and varied array of quality video programming content to the public all from one digital platform for free.  The programming will include:

The programming will range from classic movies and television shows, live and classic sporting events, news and information to music, and lifestyle programming.  Some of the programming offered will be new and exclusive to this outlet and is expected to draw very large viewing audiences.  In total over 100,000 hours of programming will be available to viewers through this outlet by the end of the calendar year.  Each of the programming genres will have their own horizontal within the station making it easy for the viewer to locate and then scroll down to the specific piece of programming they wish to view.  Each piece of content will also have a short description so the viewer can have an idea of what the programming offers.
